Today the media company has 15 offices in Europe and North America, over 15,000 customers, and they are behind over 1,000 campaigns every year. Mediaplanet has made a name for themselves by creating high-quality content and they frequently collaborate with celebrities, award-winning journalists, and well-known brands. They know what attracts the intended target audience, whatever field it may be in.
Topdog’s Assignment
Mediaplanet turned to Topdog because they wanted to be just as successful online as they were with their print campaigns. At that time (2013), the media market was changing, and it became clear to Mediaplanet that they needed to invest in online campaigns to maintain their position. As a complement to their themed magazines, they wanted to launch an online product and were looking for a cost-effective solution that would help them reach their target audience online. Topdog’s assignment was to develop an SEO Strategy closely tied to Mediaplanet’s content products, as well as create a solid SEO foundation that Mediaplanet would benefit from in the future. The assignment covered 5 websites. All of these websites were created from scratch.
Topdog’s Solution
We at Topdog specified the requirements for and launched a website for the product, then followed up and refined the solutions along the way. In addition, we analyzed Mediaplanet’s then-current CMS (Content Management System) and implemented the necessary changes for more successful SEO. Mediaplanet’s employees also received training on how to manage SEO so they would achieve equally good results going forward. Within six months, we ensured that Mediaplanet ranked 1st for the keyword “company cars” and that they received the tools needed to succeed with future projects.
